The story of Natech LTD
Company directors (and geniuses), Alison and Richard, saw a way to revolutionise the beverage can industry with the development of fluoride-free technology. They created Natech Limited Incorporated as a way to bring the technology to market.
After a year of developing the perfect product, Natech ZP was officially launched becoming one of the first Zirconium based pre-treatment products commercially available in the UK. It is still in use today and is one of the market leading products in the USA.
As a concept that could revolutionise the future of the beverage can industry forever Natech’s Fluoride-free technology was sold to a global company. The product proved to be hugely successful and soon after a Worldwide license for ZP technology was issued.
Thanks to the success of Natech ZP orders were coming in thick and fast. Natech quickly outgrew its small premises in Stoke on Trent and moved further south to Cannock where Amanda was employed to assist with the day to day running of the company.
Due to strict controls on phosphate in effluent streams in some regions, Natech Phosphate Free technology was created. This product has enabled large white goods manufacturers to reduce energy, water and effluent costs as well as speeding up the pre-treatment process.
To work alongside our pre-treatment technology a range of cleaners were developed. Using fully biodegradable surfactants the products Natech 688 and 645S have been brought to market and are now used extensively worldwide.
Looking to find a way to bring high-quality, water-based products directly to consumers Biostrip 20 was developed. What started as a small idea to hit a different type of market soon became a best-seller and led to the early creation of an ecommerce website.
Due to the restrictions placed on DCM, our paint stripping technology was proving to be incredibly popular. Water-based and much safer than traditional methods the same technology was developed further to become the first Natech Wheel Stripper.
Seeing huge growth in the wheel refurbishment market as people looked to repair damage or completely change the colour of wheels, a new and updated version of the Wheel Stripper was released with improved strip times and running costs.
After many successful product developments, the Biostrip brand was sold. However, never happy to sit back and relax a new era began with the launch of FUZE products. From an industrial background, where failure is simply not an option, we were able to expand our reach to consumers using FUZE.
With endless positive feedback and consistent salt spray hours in excess of 750 hours, Natech Phosphate-free pre-treatment was licensed out for sale in Turkey. This product is now a market leader in the country transforming the way pre-treatment lines are run.
When the opportunity arose, the Biostrip brand was relaunched on the FUZE Products website. Designed with user safety in mind but not allowing compromise on performance. Like all Natech Products the Biostrip range has been designed to work in the toughest of applications and situations.
During COVID our products were being used to treat components being built for key industries such as the NHS and food and drink.
Brexit brought about its own challenges. The priority was continuing the supply of products to the EU which proved a little more complex than anyone thought. However, thanks to excellent distributors based in Poland both Natech and Fuze products are available for purchase across the whole of the EU.
We looked to develop a wheel stripping product that could offer consistent strip times thus allowing businesses to offer same-day refurbishments. Extensive trials were carried out and in early 2022 our third version of wheel stripper, WS3 was officially launched offering consistent sub two hour strip times.
